I have an '05 530i 45k miles??are there any recommended oil additives that are good for the car? I know the dealer uses BG44 for the fuel system, but not sure what they use if any for oil treatment. Answer: Just use the BMW synthetic oil sold at the dealer. That oil is made in Germany by Castrol for BMW. It is not the same as the Castrol Syntec sold in the US. I have 2004 Toyota RAV4 that has 100K miles. I was wondering if switching to synthetic oil has any benefits. And which is the best synthetic oil available on market? Thank you. Answer: I also use regular Mobil 1 not the "extended performance" 5W-30 in a 95 Dodge Grand Caravan SE 3.3 that I just bought that has 223,000 miles on it. BMW oil additives.?
I have an '05 530i 45k miles??are there any recommended oil additives that are good for the car? I know the dealer uses BG44 for the fuel system, but not sure what they use if any for oil treatment. Answer: Just use the BMW synthetic oil sold at the dealer. That oil is made in Germany by Castrol for BMW. It is not the same as the Castrol Syntec sold in the US. Mobil 1 is a good alternative if you don't want to go to the dealer. No additives or oil treatment is needed or recommended. Answ
